Just a note to express my opinion on this company. Weeks ago, our company was bombarded with fraudolent service calls originating from Lawson's IP address space. These were verified and Lawson was contacted. Aside from the fact that they were extremely unresponsive (but took the time to google our company and key employees) they failed to identify whom hacked their system. They failed to secure their own infrastructure... is this a vendor that i would trust with a SaaS solution? I doubt it. this is my personal opinion based on the factual events.

Good post, John.

Perhaps Lawson will offer a cloud solution as well as an on-premise one, as a few of the other big ERP vendors have done.

Debes' prior comments make no sense to me. I don't understand why you'd want to paint yourself into a corner when SaaS is a completely viable option in the view of many organizations.
