Whether it is Infor or some other company, Lawson will be sold, especially with Icahn having a stake in the firm. Ashame this had to happen. Before the IPO, Lawson was a good company surrounded by good people that made cost effective solutions. Then things started to change.
Will be interesting to see what happens.

I don’t agree with either of them. This whole situation is at an impasse and I suspect it will fizzle out. Infor can’t afford Lawson and even if it could, there aren’t many costs to be cut.
Oracle or IBM could place a bid, but why would it do so now when if could have done so 6 months ago at half the price?
At best, I see the M3/Intentia portion being sold off, and perhaps some of the legacy suite. Their Landmark is maturing into a market-leading solution and the shareholders know that – selling now would be so very short-sighted.
